Camlyra Talk to strangers with the camera already in the invite
Talk to strangers is the sentence on the Camlyra homepage because that is the job. This page spells out what the camera adds: you hear a voice and see a face, then you choose.
A stranger, not a feed
There is no follow button on the landing. The meeting is the meeting.
Friends or a date
Some people want a new friend. Some want a date. The chat does not force either label.
Webcam, browser, done
Use the camera you already have. The video button is the handoff into the app.
Questions
Do I have to show my face?
Video chat expects a camera. If you want words only, use the text button beside it.
Is this a dating site?
It is a place to meet someone live. What the conversation becomes is up to the two of you.
